It is played between 2 people in which each player simultaneously forms one of three shapes with an outstretched hand - rock, paper or scissors. It is a zero-sum game with three possible outcomes: win, loss, or draw.
Rock Paper Scissors originated in China. It was subsequently imported
into Japan where it reached its modern
standardised form. After
this, it was spread throughout the world in the early 20th century.
Similar to coin-tossing, drawing straws or throwing a dice, this game helps come to decisions or solve disputes.
